is there any ggod location to camp for this? i run around for hours over hours and got none :-(

It took me over 12 hours to find one. Apparently they spawn near areas with chicken nests but it is still an annoyingly very rare chance

To be fair to the devs this is the first slime with these mechanics so they could just be more rare than they expected and while testing they could have gotten the luck of some other people (one dude found 3 in the span of a day)

I have played daily since the update and still haven't found one. I keep running around all biomes available checking chicken nests but nothing :(

I also managed to find two very quickly. I stopped playing and came back for the update, but only played for about 1 or 2 hours and found two of them in the same location. On the first island there is a refinery. If you go to the right you will find a place where stoney hens spawn. That's where I found two of them. Didn't even know they were rare until I've seen these posts. Good luck!

By the chicken nests, and it was early morning (4.55 am)
My husband said that maybe they spawn around breakfast time since it looks like a fried egg sort of, so I looked around during early morning hours :)

I think the ember valley in the in the lava when you get in to the lava part you see 2 coops so i went afk for 2 hours and not one spawned and at day time the chickens spawn hope this helps :)

Thank you. I think your comment helped me. I tried to find this slime for a long time. At the moment, I spent 46 hours on the second part of the game, and only now (at 10 a.m. on the rainbow coast) I finally found it! That's horrible :D

I finally found my first one after just restarting on my 3rd save file day 1. Best to despawn all chickens and slimes in an area to force a reset.

I gave up on the yolk slime after I went a month and didn't find one, pretty sure it's extinct.

the yolky slimes are likely to spawn around the same time in the morning as the chickens do, I have a feeling that they behave a bit like lava slimes in a sense that they perish after a while. (because they can only exist around chicken nests maybe? I'm not sure about the despawning)
