100% gpu usage
bro wtf is wrong with this game? I have a quite good gaming pc but it's still using close to 100% of my gpu, did anyone find a solution for that? it's annoying because i want to play the game but i'm scared that it will damage my components.

Nah, optimisation seems to not be that good at the moment.
Recommended Gpu is RTX2070, but I'm getting some fps drops here and there on LOW settings with an RTX3060

Good to note my coolers were also spinning like crazy the first time I launched the game on Medium settings.

If you're scared, try low settings and monitor closely your pc (If you can see the temperature and fans usage, even better)

If there's reasons to be scared (like your fans going crazy like mine), it'd be better to just not play until further updates...

FPS defaults to 120. I turned it down to 30, and now gpu is running at a normal load level.

cap your fps, anyway 100% gpu usage should not be a big concern

It is depending on the game.
Some games take 100% but do nothing much.
Others however will fry your pc if you let it go unnoticed.

And yeah always cap your fps though

Game is really power hungry, hopefully devs optimize graphics (ambient occlusion is the most taxing in my tests)

Running the game on max with my GTX1080 tends to hang around the 80-90% for me. Tho when just entering the twilight island i get some FPS issues.

I got a new GPU just the other day, (Needed a new one regardless). Got a RTX 3060 Ti. On the lowest setting and capping my FPS it still maxes out my GPU.

My solution:
  1. Turn Vsync off.
  2. Lower your FPS cap (if your default cap gives you issues).
  3. Turn Vsync back on (this is important).
  4. Turn all other settings off or to low.
  5. Switch to Windowed Mode and then select your lowest resolution (this should be 800x600).
  6. Keep increasing the resolution until you run into performance issues.
  7. With your highest well-performing resolution, start turning other settings higher until you start running into issues.

Right now, it seems like everyone (or atleast most players) are having performance trouble with the conservatory and the warp areas. This will probably be looked into and improved with further development so we might just need to be patient.
