However, it would be pretty cool if you could unlock the ability to dye Bea's hair different colors, similar to how you could unlock different styles for the tech and gun in the last game.
I know it's a pretty silly thing because you don't see her a lot but it would be neat to unlock styles that are similar to the slime textures. Plus, if they re-add my precious baby tangle slimes, I'd love to give her some forest green hair with the tangle flowers weaved in it haha.
This is a wild pipe dream suggestion. I don't mind how she looks personally, I just think it would be a cute micro feature.
The MC is black? I just thought she had a tan, or was latina... TIL.
I dont know where you got the idea that the OP and the 2 others are repeating the "inflammatory comments", I literally checked the OPs posts and hes never even said anything at all in the Slime Rancher 1 forums... So you are just straight up lying about that part.
I dont really give a ♥♥♥♥ what race or color or sex or what appearance the person you play as is because its not relevant to my enjoyment, but why put others down who *do* tie their enjoyment to appearance, especially if it harms no one and adds a feature to the game??
u good?
let's be silly and say you're genuinely confused :P let's say you're not deliberately misunderstanding me in an attempt to avoid self examination.
i sincerely hope you're not conflating OP's "request" with, say, someone asking for skins from their favorite movie to be added to Fortnite. This isn't a "You're the Hero" game. This isn't a game with a nebulous protagonist that's meant to be a self-insert. Slime Rancher tells a story about a black girl named Beatrix LeBeau.
Developers didn't reveal the race of the protagonist until after they had launched for Early Access. A number of people interpreted it as "social justice pandering" and have been grossly abusive to the developers and the community since then, on-and-off of Steam discussions.
I did not mean this individual literally has been campaigning for character customization since Slime Rancher. I mean this individual, the OP, is repeating comments other people (and by his own admission, he himself) have made since the first game. Comments that are generally recognized to be racist nonsense, for racism's sake.
this is as polite and as frank as i'm gonna be abt it. :o)
Beyond that though, no, I highly doubt we'll be getting anything else. As has been mentioned prior in this thread, Slime Rancher specifically follows the story of Beatrix. She's a blank slate that players can personify as they like, but she doesn't really serve as the player insert role you seem to want her to. You don't necessarily have to like her design, that's a very subjective thing. (I even kinda get it, the mint green hair can be a bit much) But you spend the vast majority of the game looking through her eyes, not at her. I really am curious how you think such a minor detail can ruin the experience of a game that has next to nothing to do with it.
Also expecting the dev to waste time and resources on character customization is also stupid when that could be directed towards a part of the game that actually matters, like slime ranching.
Oh right its cause you do. ??? stop lying
when do you see the body or face of beatrix lebeau when you are playing in-game. her hands holding the vac pack literally don't count lmfao
Loba is fine af you're insane, so is fuse
being able to die the hair would go a long way tbh as well as clothing options because they are terrible defaults
i might still play the game, i played the first one to completion, but the character is still ugly
yes
