Can't load save file

Played for about 4 hours last night and today I can't load the save file. Selecting "Confirm" asks if I want to delete the save, all other buttons do nothing.

Selecting "Continue" starts the game at the last checkpoint but with a new character with no levels, gear or beasts.

Your character save file should be there. Have you chosen the character save file in the main menu? You must actively choose the character save file the first time.

Here's what I'm trying please let me know if this is wrong:
Local Play > Continue > All Characters are Level 1
or
Local Play > World 1 5h 5m > Confirm > Delete world save? > No > Goes back to New Game/Continue page

Hmm.. In the screen where you select difficulty and start the game: can press the arrow next to the text that says "new character" or "guardian level 1" until you see your character?

i logged in today and i can only start a new game. i don't find my saved file in the game.
