Losing my mind on "Gotta catch 'em all!"

• Saberhorn Houndra, Greater Spitter Houndra, Magma Houndra, Alpha Greenstriped Houndra
  
• Greater Shock Roker, Mighty Plated Roker, Mighty Toxic Roker
  
• Fierce Frilled Scaptor, Fierce Obsidian Scaptor, Stinger Scaptor
  
• Greater Crowned Ramox, Demonhorn Ramox, Armahorn Ramox
  
• Greater Stone Dragolem, Bark Dragolem, Crystal Dragolem
  
• Greater Tide Crocolisk, Galvanic Crocolisk, Greater Marsh Crocolisk

Is there something I'm missing, or do "alpha/greater/etc" versions not count for the achievement? I don't think I ever had a basic Shock Roker...

At the very least, I can confirm you're missing Azure Scaptor and possibly Bog Roker, and maybe the Crimson Houndras.

I had Azure Scaptor and Bog Roker in the past, but sold them. Can't recall if I ever had a Crimson Houndra.

It's possible that you (and potentially many more people, myself included) are missing a whole "type" of creature. The difficulty with this achievement is that we don't yet have a full list of all the creature types in the game. This game is very new and so information about it is scarce.
When I look at my "Beast Mastery" tab, I see the following creatures:
Houndra
Roker
Panteliz
Scaptor
Ramox
Dragolem
Crocolisk
Yet there is space at the bottom of the UI for one more.

Here's the thing, I am at the final boss, I've explored every area as much as I can, completed all the guard missions (up to lvl 7, I don't know if it goes beyond that but I've been grinding the lvl 7 guard mission for hours just to level up all the beast forms so if it's in there, I haven't found it) and have yet to come across a creature I don't recognise.
There could very well be one more "Creature Type" that we're missing. But as far as I can tell no-one who has that achievement has actually confirmed what all the creature types are or where to get all of them. The game certainly doesn't tell you what you're missing.

Which confirms that there are presently seven "types" of beast and should be three primary variants of each needed for the achievement... which I have obtained, and even got most of those listed in their basic forms (as previously mentioned, I don't think I ever got a basic Shock Roker, and I definitely never got a plain old Ramox—the lowest level one I could find was a Crowned Ramox).

Guard missions go up to level 10. Levels 8-10 are post-game content, unlocked by beating the final boss.


Edit: If I do need to get a regular Shock Roker and/or Ramox, I have no idea where to find either one; I can only seem to find greater versions. I've been searching for 16 cumulative hours now, so I think I'll throw in the towel until I get a dev response.

Ah gotcha. Thanks for providing the quote from the Dev. I couldn't find any info about this (or indeed any other achievement).
Although, reading through that list, I can't identify one that I haven't got. Maybe it's bugged or maybe I am missing one, sadly there's no way to tell. Here's hoping they at least put in a way of tracking which ones you still need.

I don't know where you're grinding for drops but if it's just the base versions you need, I would start in the lower level areas. Maybe start from Quilon and go map-to-map clearing out all the creatures. Or grind the level 1 or 2 guard missions.
Failing that, I think creating a new character and hoping the achievement progress carries across and that you get the right drop whilst at a low level might be the way to do it.

Can confirm you need a low level character in order to drop the base versions. I took my lvl 36 back to Quilon, got an Alpha Saberhorn Houndra. Then made a new character in the same save file and got: Spitter Houndra, Crimson Houndra, Panteliz.
Two out of the three are on that list. Hard to say yet whether it will work just getting the one's you're missing or if you need to get them all again on the new character, but I'll be keeping every creature drop I get so I can compare.

Hey, sorry for our slow response!

It looks like you've gotten 3 of every type, so you should have gotten the achievement already. May be that one of these "higher level" creatures is wrongly tagged somehow and don't register as they should... Very sorry for that, we'll make sure to check and correct it.

We're also looking into how we can add a list to track them better in-game, again sorry for the delay, we're trying to address as many issues as we can as soon as possible :)

I think I have that problem, too. I got all creatures 3-4 pieces each (not counting alpha versions etc).
I could have sent save characters too. But I'm not sure where to look for that file.

Thank you for the file! Responding here so others can see as well: You have all you need for the achievement, but it seems that in the 1.0.3 build it doesn't send the signal to Steam to give you that achievement. It should however work in the next update, build 1.0.4, that will (hopefully) be up later this week. In the updated version, when you pick up any item it should trigger the achievement update (you can just drop an item from your inventory and pick it up again). Sorry for this issue and for the wait!

Good news. It IS work. As soon as i update to 1.0.4 and enter the game this archievement automaticaly complete.
