No response from game controller or KB

I loaded the game and reached the title screen, told me to push X button. But no matter which buttons I pushed in my game controller, or all keys on kb/mouse, there was no response at all. Any help please?

I've only played this with a keyboard, and it was the arrow keys and the z,x and Escape keys that let me navigate. This games runs in a window, so make sure the window is active and you haven't selected outside the window, otherwise it won't register the key press events


I'm not an expert in game controllers ( I'm a kbm fanatic) , but I suspect this games will only accept xinput, which is typically an xbox controller. If you are using something different, check if there is a toggle for xinput. If not, you can use steam input to switch the controller inputs.

It might be worth checking your steam input config for this game, incase it's screwing it up.
