Is Decay... nerfed into the ground?
I've always liked Decay. But they feel weak now without Devour and the rest of it. Soul Power sucks for them, they get drained too quickly to be able to keep up with hospitals especially since they can't heal themselves outside of Sanguists healing themselves. (Does lifesteal buff spell work on them?) And Necromancy... I dunno what to say whether it is an improvement or a downgrade.

Soul power always felt off to me, neat in concept but never enough

I'd say its a downgrade for people that want to use Necromancy and an upgrade for people that just randomly get it but don't care about it. Free mana regen after a fight for a spell heavy hero is great, Oh I can get units instead? Why would I ever want that when the mana can just summon units

No they are just more snowbally than ever. Souls are worth so much more now since you can get resource from them so now you really need to get your death ball rolling fast. They're volatile but rewarding.

What resource are you talking about?

lol its pure snowbally , just beat challenge difficulty with them, the more you fight , the stronger you get , units etc , its pure snowbally , its infinity swarm of boneguard units , until they kill a strong unit and then you get a OP unit as well xD

and the thing just continue like that , so far the faction i had most fun with.

and if you combine this with the skill ''Bloodwarping'' and get a randomly a Thanatos , its all over xD :cleandino:

Yeah decay is up there with their ability to snowball. half the time i dont bother with necromancy, even before the changes. Get a good mage and just chuck crappy spells around, so when they die they become your undead.

By week three you should've outpaced most other players. Its all about how to effectively get undead up from encounters.

Yeah even i had one in bloodwarping from an equipment... from a big battle converted 20 skels into 20 Thanatos. Its beyond ridiculous at this point.

Eh... Then you guys haven't really experienced the good times with Necromancy then, by the sounds of it.

What good times? Necromancy has always been the weakest creep skill in my opinion. Not to mention most undead units are kinda weak. I do like the recent change where you can get mana back instead of taking the troops.

But what I meant about resources is they don't get the marketplace and instead trade souls for them. So if you are murdering everything your economy should be jacked. Just makes their play style pure snowball. Kill everything or die trying.

eh probably but like demonology its just always felt underwhelming. Now if it also came with a special set of death spells depending on your level in necromancy. That would be a better fit then what we have now in my eyes.

But again Decay is definitely still a potent team once it gets going. Even without the thematic skill necromancy.

I sometimes cant spend my soul energy fast enough mid-late game.
