Rogue Realms is great

I bought Rogue Realms because man, the base game is a lot of fun. I miss HoMM style games, and this one's style and design is a lot of fun. The battles have just enough interactivity to feel fun without being a slog, and the art design is pretty much perfect.

But Rogue Realms is another level of weird, and I freaking love it. Being a sensible faction is fine, and definitely feels more powerful to me than the weirdo mashups from RR, but seeing those weirdo factions running around in game is great fun. They make the game worlds feel more magic and unpredictable, and just really mix up the formula.

Playing as them is fun for RP sort of builds, look at my weird fungus town or whatever. I haven't had the best of luck with the RR towns as far as winning, but it's great fun to tool around with the really odd designs and settings.

Plus the fungus Lieutenant i got this last game, 'Sap', has a really goofy sort of :3 face with /\/\/\/\ mouth that I think is fun.
