Ultrawide Support
It seems that in 3440x1440 21:9 the image is cropped, resulting in a zoomed in feeling. Any chance to to fix that and make it hor+ or add an fov slider ?

Since it's made with UE4, you can force the vertical FOV via ini.

Go to C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\EnGarde\Saved\Config\Windows
and open the Engine.ini file with Notepad or any txt editor.

Add these two rows at the end of the file:

[/script/engine.localplayer] AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

then save and close the file, open its properties (right click -> Properties), check the Read Only attribute and apply it.

I had to do this myself in order to fix the FOV on my 32:9.

Weirdly enough, your solution worked in the full release... but only for the first level. Second level loads up and everything in the vertical FOV is cropped again. No idea how to fix it.

Why can't devs just put forth the slightest bit of effort for proper ultrawide implementation? Game is otherwise great.

Please fix ultrawide! I'll switch my review to positive the moment I no longer have to feel nausea while playing at 5120x1440.

Agreed fixing the ultrawide so it isn't zoomed in would be amazing.

Thank you for reporting it and we're sorry the ultrawide mode is inconvenient in its current state. We'll see what we can do about it and keep you up to date if we manage to improve ultrawide support in a future update!

Thank you! I'll like to clarify I really love your game, and thankfully i have a second standard aspect ratio monitor to play it on. But its current ultrawide implementation makes it completely unplayable in 32:9 unfortunately, and though I don't have the technical knowledge around this, my undersatnding is that Unreal Engine makes it quite easy to implement this. I hope it gets patched in soon!

Apparently this can be worked around by adding

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

to the Engine.ini, but the problem is, it only lasts until the next cutscene. At that point it reverts back and you have to quit the game, re-update the ini, and then restart the game.

I did change it to read only and it didn't work.

Salut les devs, je viens d'acheter le jeu, c'est vraiment super mais effectivement en 32:9 le zoom camera rends le jeu injouable, svp faites un fix

Hey everyone, we have improved ultrawide support in our latest patch.

HUD and camera framing should now better adapt to ultrawide screens.
These are first improvements which should be a step towards a perfect support of ultrawide. We will perform extra tests on this in the upcoming days. We are eager to hear feedback from players using ultrawide screens!

r.UseLegacyMaintainYFOVViewMatrix=True

It forces all horizontal FOV values to be vertical
