Turn off auto aim?

Can we get an option to turn off the awful auto-aim? It always locks onto whichever enemy has the most guard meter left so I can't follow through on the one I'm actually aiming for. And I don't have enough fingers to hold down the manual aim button all the time and still play the game.

Speaking of which, when you said "this game plays better on a controller", I didn't realize you meant "we didn't consider keyboard at all". It took me an hour of trial and error to re-map it into something decent.

I play on keyboard with the default controls and I'm getting by just fine. Didn't need to remap anything.

I remapped everything just fine in 5 minutes. And that was including having to work around the weird error of not being able to use the T key. And the usual added challenge of remapping to an ESDF layout. I think we're talking PEBKAC here.

Yeah i haven't had a single problem with it.
The very first tutorial card tells you that you can use WASD or the direction of your thumbstick and she will attack who ever you are pointing at - including people behind you.

It's a really decent and well implemented system.

I've also been playing exclusively on keyboard before then playing on steam deck and the keyboard implementation is fantastic. I actually prefer it.

There are some hiccups when playing with a controller too. I have both camera-related settings turned off, and sometimes the game still decides to rotate my camera unexpectedly. In the arena mode, I knock down an enemy and try to follow up with another attack against him because I have a perk that instantly removes a hitpoint from a fallen enemy, but the game decides to no longer focus on him, jerks the camera and focuses on another opponent. Those unexpected camera movements are always distracting, but here it also makes me miss an opportunity.

Overall I think I'd prefer the focus to be less magnetic and to just be based on the direction I'm facing.
