Any plans for a GOG and/or Epic Store release?
Any plans for a GOG and/or Epic Store release?

Would rather more of my money go to the developers instead of the store.

GOG should be a must IMO. No excuse for singleplayer games to release with DRM

It's funny how you just had to post this comment Eisberg has definitely seen before and he gets riled up for a mini pro-EGS wall of text. What a comedian that guy is!

I’m just happy to see the game is on a store with such great community integration. And because it’s on Steam, I’ll get to play it on my Steam Deck seamlessly! It will also perform better on Linux/Steam OS because of Steam’s shader pre-calculation feature.

The game might release on more stores and also on consoles in the future, but for launch it will be a Steam exclusive!

They probably want to see it in a giveaway, since that is how most belated EGS PC releases are handled after having their time on Steam

Or they are hoping for a better price since Epic has regional pricing for more places than Steam does. Or they could want it on Epic to get 5% of their purchase price back as store credit. Or hell, maybe they are hoping for one of the awesome coupons that pop up sometime to get the game at a historically low price like has happened many times. There are honestly quite a few reasons if a store is just a store to you.

Unless you want everyone to pirate your game day one.

pirates are going to pirate anyways. Plenty of games have shown over and over again DRM is not needed at all. Studies have shown that piracy in gaming doesn't even decrease sales while there is a chance that piracy may increase sales, which means DRM at best is a waste of money and does not increase sales at all, and at worse decreases sales.
Basically this. A small handful of developers would rather you pirate their games too than for them to add intrusive middleware to their games.
