Do I need to play a run as them, or does just inputting it put them in the draft pool?

I just tested it out, looks like all you need to do is input the code to put it in the pool for draft.

Would be nice if there was somewhere they would be saved once used. It feels like bad design having to enter them over and over and it's easy for the codes to get lost.

It seems that the all the codes are simple drafts with the exception of the Pedguin one.
