Coded Characters

I've just unlocked the coded characters perk but cant seem to see any creators with a code yet (including the yogs). am i missing something? :)

When you start a new game, and select your character, you have the option to Draft, random, or use a code.

I expected something more permanent instead of one time unlocks where I have to reenter the code all the time.

It actually does permanently unlock the special character trait in the Draft mode; it just doesn't tell you about it.
