What are some good trait combos you've found?
I just finished a run with Fae and Mage maxed out. Mage double casting combined with Fae lowering mana to allow more spells to be cast ended up with spells flying constantly towards the end.

mushroom mage is really strong,
Mushroom and Dragon work very well together. At the beginning of the game, all the 1 cost units will give you Dragon 2/Mushroom 2/Shaman 2. Later, you can dish out the weaker units Cause you will get 2 archers (Flash and Porcino). Cost 3 you have a very good cost 3 dragon/enginner, but also there is a mushroom/enginner cost 2. So you can make many combinations with both Dragon and Mushroom that will get good results.

I'll chalk it up to RNG, but Dragon is rather rare to me. I guess they pop up as randos when I'm going for other traits.
hydra and legend most op yet
Just did a Reptile and Tank run. Was super tanky. Damage was meh, but with how tanky everyone was, mediocre damage was enough.
Demon have always worked for me so far. They work even if you are unlucky with unit rolls, I won a run with a tier 1. If you get any banner or perk, it's also really easy to find rare units that combos well with them.

Royal + brawler. It's really more about frog and stone contribute to both. You can easily find supplemental pieces.
Usually, the strongest unit combinations have been because of /banners/.

Flame II + Mage on a lot of units breaks the game quickly ^-^

Banners are indeed amazing. It's why River is my favorite daiya, and I always pick her when she's an option.
Had a really strong run mixing bug and skeleton. Used Skul and Kepri from the beginning and just built around that. Got to mix around banners and other synergies and my team was unstoppable. Finished the last fight with nobody on my team even dead yet.
There are a few combinations of units which allow you to have triple traits active before the first fight. Mushroom 1, reptile 1 and shaman 1 is the strongest in my opinion. The triple trait activation means you can play with more risk and pivot into anything pretty safely.
That stone uncommon guy (crommagus?) is almost unstoppable, so elemental + brawler. Give him a few items with increased health, lifesteal, and/or attack damage/speed, and he's your dps tank that never dies.

Horror is a good combo if you get some banners or manage to get 2 good DPS with it. They'll wreck the enemy team during that stun period. Very important, also, is to get that bell perk with immunity to crowd control for 1 gold. Don't remember which choices you need to make to get to it.
The Divine trait seems incredible. The free potions/items you get after the rounds are really strong. After I reached Divine II my team was unstoppable. Using all the remaining items for the last round, I had about +6k hp compared to the opposing team and finished with barely any health missing thanks to the Lifesteals and heals.

Completely agreed, the easiest run I've had was a Cedric run as full Divine with Skul and Proton. Trivial.
Aquatic/Healer makes for a surprisingly potent combo once you get it running. All that healing becomes damage, and Aquatic's spring pools offer a LOT of little heals. They also do some nice damage. Makes for a very tanky team that just slowly wades through everything.

Aquatic op op, the fact you only need 2 units for rank 1 trait is so strong
