What is prismatic liquid used for??

I've been extracting prismatic liquid but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to use it and what its purpose is.

You need quite a bit of it for the wedding, and the weapons that mount on top of the stone towers use it as ammo.

Are you sure about the wedding bit? Is that a change that came with the latest update?
Because in one of my saves my ruler married Agnes without ever building an extractor for the prismatic liquid. Also I thought the instructions said when you had material for a feast, and the feast material was derived from wine?

Kind of important to know as I'm now aiming to have my ruler in my second save marry Agnes as well, just to get that achievement, so it would be great if you could tell me.

You can get prismatic liquid without building extractors - from trade, quest rewards, etc. You need 300 to throw the wedding for everyone so far.

Thank you for that information. Huh, I certainly hadn't traded for it, the trade offers I get are only the type of hey, want this sum of something you already have in abundance, in exchange for this sum of something you have far less of?, so I can't say I use the trade much. But I never did pay much attention to what exactly the rewards were for missions, so I must have gotten prismatic liquid that way.

Yes, this changed in 1.0, since previously the prismatic liquid wasn't in the game yet.

It's one of the reasons the devs recommended new saves, a lot has changed.
