YESS - exactly - same here :(
slow down and just follow the tutorial at a slow pace.
85 peeps should have around 3 to 4 veg farms and two to three granaries
3 or 4 grain and one mill was enough for me and one bakery gave me more than enough food.
i did have my windmill on a hill not sure if that produced more.
Place a Granary and Bakery in the middle of your neighborhoods. Have flour brought to the granary, bread can stay within the bakery. Now your fablings will only have to cross the street for food. Granary workers will diligently pull vegetables from farms and flour from mills to supply the locals.
I saw there was a market building coming soon. Maybe that will fix this too. I don't want to live next to a busy granary :D
I started a new game and it happened again, but earlier when I had 500 food and only 20+ villagers. I quickly paused the game as soon as they all went hungry and began investigating.
It looks to me like The head of household "forgot" their jobs to provide resources to their homes and some Head of households even appeared to have different jobs all of a sudden. I checked two and they were listed as granary and stockpile even if they weren't.
what i did was to fire those Head of households, switched to a new one, saved the game, rebooted, and loaded. Everything went back to normal.
Asides from that, game is lovely. I'm liking the aesthetic. Can't wait to see whats getting added.
Soon 5 months after, will this be fixed? Should I just drop the game and get a refund? In this state it look like this happens at random and only with villagers.
Just happens again hours into a new save on ps5.
