Starvation
I'm very confused as I have about 8 days of food left, with lots of farms, bakeries and mills running. Still my people keep dying of starvation.
8 days is not a long time I get that, but at this point it just feels like they refuse to eat. Shouldn't they only start dying of starvation if there is no food left at all?

Am I doing something wrong? :ctlua:

Edit: I only got the game like three hours ago so I have the newest version!

Fables keep dying of starving, and i cannot find the reason why... got a tavern, but none of the crops get into it... i have 316 wheat, 30 flour, and for one year i grow vegetables which just dissapear :(

sounds like you are rushing the game too quick.

slow down and just follow the tutorial at a slow pace.

85 peeps should have around 3 to 4 veg farms and two to three granaries
3 or 4 grain and one mill was enough for me and one bakery gave me more than enough food.

i did have my windmill on a hill not sure if that produced more.

Had a similar issue, I found out I put houses right next to a condo and they could not move, ones I removed the house they could go fetch food. That being said I still got warnings on low food even though granary had tons of it, it was a trek but not sure why they did not fetch it

Likely your main issue is that making bread is wildly inefficient compared to just growing vegetables. Also, the "disappearing" vegetables are going into individual housing units.

I have about a third of my population dedicated towards food production, and I do find there is something inefficient about how much they produce. While that is an issue in itself, I found a majority of starvation issues are due to logistics. If your farms are too far away, the fablings may take too long to fetch food. The solution is to bring food to them.

Place a Granary and Bakery in the middle of your neighborhoods. Have flour brought to the granary, bread can stay within the bakery. Now your fablings will only have to cross the street for food. Granary workers will diligently pull vegetables from farms and flour from mills to supply the locals.

I saw there was a market building coming soon. Maybe that will fix this too. I don't want to live next to a busy granary :D

I've sent a bug report. I've had 95 days of food left and the whole population started dying. I saved immediately, rebooted, and loaded and they still died.

I started a new game and it happened again, but earlier when I had 500 food and only 20+ villagers. I quickly paused the game as soon as they all went hungry and began investigating.

It looks to me like The head of household "forgot" their jobs to provide resources to their homes and some Head of households even appeared to have different jobs all of a sudden. I checked two and they were listed as granary and stockpile even if they weren't.

what i did was to fire those Head of households, switched to a new one, saved the game, rebooted, and loaded. Everything went back to normal.

I have noticed that the workers in the veg fields only get +5 at any time I think this might need to be tweaked to like maybe +25 or a little higher ratio.

I also would like to report an issue where my food counter is stuck at 20 and my fablings start to die off one by one from hunger no matter how much my farmers keep gathering from fields. This is most likely a bug.
Asides from that, game is lovely. I'm liking the aesthetic. Can't wait to see whats getting added.

What a game braking bug. Just got to a point where my town was huge and thriving and now the inhabitants won’t even eat their own food from their own house. They just stand outside the house in front of the house and have a who blinks first competition. And workers carrying things stopped right in their tracks and don’t move. No one moves, tried taking away people’s jobs and they still stayed in the building. Was very "fun" using money and time on this game 🤣

Soon 5 months after, will this be fixed? Should I just drop the game and get a refund? In this state it look like this happens at random and only with villagers.
