How do I place a stockpile?
...game keeps giving me error messages.

You need to put down the stockpile and build those 3 attachments (look like same planks on the ground). If you don't add them to the main stockpile the game still will prompt you to build one.

Got it...just needed to click on the dots on the ground. Not real intuitive..but whatever.

this gives you the freedom to place the piles in different forms, like 2x2 square, or in a line, or as an "L".
