Am I doing something wrong with coal
Hi! Since I started playing, I've never managed to stock up on coal. Even with the missions, when I win some, it always stays at 0 or maximum 5 or 8, never more, even if I win 320 for example. Do you know why? Thanks in advance!

Your fablings are taking the coal and putting it in their houses, the stat you see there doesn't count the coal that is being stored for use there since once it's there it can't be moved out again. Once a head of household or a manager of a manor or castle sees there is some coal they'll go get it. You can always just build more coal burners if you really want to see that number go up!

Thanks! I'll try building few more and see if I can store a little bit!

I have half my town as wood cutters and coal burners. Never have enough and they plant the trees very slowly plus I keep getting cursed with newly planted trees grow slow curse. ugh

I have this issue.
I have over 2000 logs, plenty of Labour to take the logs and many coal burners standing idle waiting for logs to burn. At best 2 are active but that’s never enough to keep all houses warm and to supply the blacksmith. At the moment the blacksmith has produced nothing.
How do I increase the rate of logs to all the coal burners to increase coal production?

Sometimes it seems like distance is a factor, like the fablings doesn't want to walk for miles to get something..

Okay so I think i've found the trick maybe. First, build a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of coal burner (and by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I mean keep building until it seams more than reasonnable and then add some). I have 352 people, 25 coal burner and I am still adding more. Obviously make sure you have enough housing for all the workers needed.
Then drop your taxes rate for as long as you can so the happiness rate goes up, more people come to live in your city and produce a lot more. Once you are done and if you still haven't enough coal, you can go to the world map, select another country and click the little scale icon to exchange goods. Keep regulary droping the taxe rate to up your production rate and you should be good.

I've watched them a bit, think they're the ones who supply homes with food/etc. So if they're taking time its because you probably don't have enough logistical workers.

For example I only had 4 logistical workers for 40 fablings. I increased to 10 and now it goes by somewhat quicker. Obviously things being close enough to each other also helps.

Overly complicated and completely unnecessary. I had a coal shortage for some time as well (which prevented me from having armaments made, which prevented me from recruiting soldiers and advance in some quests). When I observed some individual coal makers for a while, I noticed that they spent a lot of time hauling wood to their workplace instead of making coal, because their own stock of raw material was half empty. That made me think that I should make other people do it for them, so they would remain productive in their own qualified job.

I made sure that all coal burners were placed next to woodcutters AND storage facilites, and all three were fully staffed. I also upgraded the roads from dirt to cobblestone, so the fablings would move more quickly, especially between their workplaces and their homes. It took three weeks, and I had a coal surplus of more than a hundred units, and the blacksmiths were busy again. Right now, I have more than 300 fablings including 8 coal makers, and I am golden.

So: No need for glitzy tricks, going over the top with coal maker spamming or cheesy tax rate manipulation. Just provide a reasonably developed infrastructure and think about where buildings are constructed, to keep walking and delivery distance short, to save time. That's all.
