I like to enjoy, and there is always so much to do and to check.
And Yes, having high efficiency (happiness >90) helps a lot (+40% speed).
I'm not far enough to have a high happiness score, but I had a months buff and it didn't seem to make a big difference...
Personally i really like this aproach. It's similar to how Manor Lords handles it and it means that if you got a mine way out in the arse end of nowhere it's gonna take a while to get that built or serviced. It adds a nice layer and something to think about when planning.
And lots of woody huts help too - I mean: loooots of.
