Food (bread)

Loving this game. The art style is beautiful and I love the way the house is modular. My gripe with the food now is that it takes 2 wheat to make 1 flour, and 2 flour to make 1 bread. So....

4 wheat = 1 bread = replenish 35 hunger
4 vege = 4 x 15 = 60 hunger

Other than satisfying commoner with bread, I think that you should be able to produce more bread from less wheat, since it goes through a longer pipeline as well. Anyone else thought the same?

I think it is essentially the same for pork, four wheat for one pork, just with one less middle step. And yeah, at least for bread it feels a bit steep. But I think it was said somewhere here that the devs are working on balancing the cost vs benefit of bread, so hopefully it will be less wheat for one bread eventually.

that is correct, the developers are working on balancing. For example, it was originally 3 wheat to make flour then they changed it to two. Also the farms can only harvest like 20-25 squares not the 40 you can build so that is in the queue

Hippolyte was hired specifically to balance the game and I'm pretty sure he's already rebalanced the food system. I think he's balancing the military progression right now for the next update, so I'm guessing we'll see some food balance changes with that big upcoming patch.

This make so much sense why I can't seem to produce enough vegetables.. xD Still figuring out how many farms I am going to need to sustain 85 fables
