HOW PIGS

please help me im struggling to place a pigsty. i already have a "town" milestone. i own an area where pigs are. however, i cant buy a pigsty nor i know how to capture the animals

The pigs place themselves into the pen once the pigsty is built.
Are you having difficulty building the pigsty? Do you have the materials needed and the money for it? For me it has been difficult sometimes to have enough of the materials (I think it requires planks for one thing), and that's been delaying my pigsty builds.

Don't try to place the sty onto the pigs, that probably won't let you place the building. You can place it basically anywhere and the pigs will just warp into the pen once it's built.

Did you buy the land the pigs are on? Just placing a pen wont do it.

Unlock the territory which contains pigs
Make sure you have enough wheat
Build a Pigsty near commoners since peasants can't have pork.
(As long as you unlock a territory with a pig, you can place the Pigsty anywhere on the map as long as you unlocked it)

Can the peasants not eat pork? I never noticed that, wow. Why wouldn't they though? That's so odd.

No, what Mochi is saying is that the pigsty is a "NIMBY". Nobody like the smell of pigsh1t so if you're going to build it, do so somewhere far enough that it won't decrease anyone's happiness living near it. I.E., pay attention to the zone when you plop it down.

Ah yeah I know about the redzones, but thank you. I was talking about this:
"since peasants can't have pork"
Double checked that and it looks like its true, for whatever reason my poor peasants aren't allowed to eat pork! Well I guess that makes sense then for why I've had tons of food and still fablings starving, I've had a ton of pork but maybe only one commoner's shop that sold it. Rest assured I've changed that now and things are going much better.

Oh actually, it was my fault lol
I think I reached the milestone but some of my folks died and the milestrone regressed (if that's possible, just my guess).
When I finally reaached it tho, I could place the pigpen.
