No, it means they will stay with a stable version of Unity that won't break and be 'THE END to RPG MAKERS'.
There won't be a new RPG MAKER then.
Yeah actually I do care. I bought nearly every RPG maker because it was a piece of software.
If I wanted to do something in UE or UNITY I would do that before.
Updating it can break stuff.
All rpg makers are depending on the operating systems they run on.
Updating the operating system can break stuff.
Has THE END already arrived many years back?
Will this be a new beginning?
Can this possible the initiation of multiple track?
Are new abandonment plans put in place?
Stay tuned for an update in 2 months time.
Poetry good sir, lol.
Makes perfect sense to me.. It seems more like a lazy way to have even LESS liability since you can always go.. OH well take that up with Unity blablabla.. Ehm yeah.. so they only polish it this one time never update it and leave it like that..
Hmm why should we trust them to update this unity plugin basically what it is since they do not do many updates to mz anyway?
As per their own words, RPG Maker Unite is not a direct successor to RPG Maker MZ, and isn't considered a mainline rpg maker. It isn't even being supported on the official RPG Maker forums for example, and will have a forum on its own site.
It's a spin-off like the console versions, but on unity. And there seems to be a clear intent of differentiating the two engines as much as they can.
So I think there'll still be 'proper' RPG Makers in a few years that serve as the successor to MZ, with the more familiar UI and engine, etc. So I wouldn't worry too much!
What do you mean? Is that joke or some relevant information? Source...?
It's true, pretty much any engine he trolls if it cannot create him a game within 3 clicks.
