RIDE 5

Bring back camera shake & fix understeering!
I honestly don't know why you nerfed it in the first place, I feel like I am cruising on a boat on a windfree day now. A big part of the thrill and immersion was this camera shake and sound of wind which is also nerfed it seems. It added to the sense of speed as well. Now it is way more boring to ride in first person, something that really had me excited before and now just feels meh. I think 3rd person also was a affected because I remember it being way more wild and shaky on release.

And for the love of God, fix the insane understeering in this game please. Almost every track ends up rolling around in first gear on the bigger bikes. There are maybe 4 playable tracks for the big bikes because of this ridiculous inability to turn even at quite slow speeds. I love this game but the understeering and this camera shake removed have me quit the game so often lately because I just can't enjoy it anymore like I knew I would if it handled better.

I hope you read this and take the critique in a positive way, if I didn't care about this game I would not write a comment at all.

To make it really, really boring, street racing tracks have been removed :)
Boring circuit racing tracks are loved by the mainstream.
(as if you didn't have Moto GP for that)

I prefer RiMS Racing now. In many ways :paleyebrows:

Agreed, miss the shake big time.
Camera shake needs to be on a slider. That way everyone's happy.

I honestly don't know if this could help with the camera shake issue, but because I play the game in UEVR, I was trying to figure out a way to disable it instead, in Ride 3 and 4 first, and even 5 had a little bit still, so once I disabled Post Processing in the WindowsNoEditor folder, GameUserSettings file, camera shake was totally gone.

I believe the setting is at 3 to begin with, so all I did was changed it to 0 and then saved the file. I've read that you can go up to number 5 with the settings, so maybe in the case of Ride 5, changing Post Process to a value of 5 would add to the shaking strength??? Might be worth a shot, as there's no harm in trying.

The path to get there is: C:/Users/Yourname/AppData/Loca/Ride5/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GameUserSettings

The people who claim this and similar games like MotoGP 24 to be good games are the one's who do not know how a motorcycle should handle. Milestone hasn't touched either Ride 5 nor MotoGP 24 handlingwise since launch, which is just a testament of them turning a blind eye to it all.
In their physics engine they have added a separate physics tweak that ignores what ever setup you have where it will automatically freeze the suspension the more throttle or brake you apply. The ONLY way around it for when you need more turning ability is to back off throttle/braking to unfreeze the suspension.
No matter, all track surfaces are flat as a pool table so there's just no feel to it all. Sadly I doubt very much that they will just out of the blue do a 180 and make a proper game again. It's about politics, woke politics. Until that is taken care of, Milestone will continue this p*ssy a** way of developing games, unfortunately.

I like the toned down shake better, I found the original one a bit too irritating.

But I am 100% with you, changes like this need to be done properly with a slider.
It´s the typical Milestone thing, they never understand that different players have different preferences.
