If you have played Ride 4, don't waste your money on this one. Physics are horrible and the brakes are non-existent.

This is my first Ride Game (or any motorcycle *sim* game) and i have to say, this game is great, maybe a bit pricey, even though that's the standard for triple A titles nowadays. but if you have the money (or it's on sale), love bikes, I say give it a shot.

Also got to say, this game is really well optimized, for how good it looks, i hit a stable 144fps at 1440p on a RTX 3070, something you don't see on games very often now.

I say try it if you want a challenge, or a just realistic (to an extent) experience!

I mean this in the best way possible - Ride 5 makes me want to play old school Gran Turismo.

That's definitely the vibe they're going for here and I think it's the right move. Actually I hope they lean into it even more if the series continues. With the Moto GP series providing the career-focused motorsport experience, Ride should really look into emulating early Gran Turismo even further. Right now the spread of bikes is decent, but certainly weighted to sportbikes in that 2017-2023 window (how many Fireblades do we really need?). Some of the best fun had in the GT series is thrashing the weird Kei cars and econoboxes around race tracks. There's room for that here. Heck let's add some minimotos. More retro bikes too! Not just for the sake of padding the count, but for adding variety and stuff that the playerbase might be more familiar with. Right now KTM RC390, CFMOTO 450SS, and Yamaha R3 are three of the most popular entry-level bikes for new riders. None of them are in Ride 5. If Milestone could capture that broad-spectrum GT2 feel in a future game, I think people would stop clamoring for a open-world free mode - which is very much a "be-careful-what-you-wish-for" request. The age of festival games came and went for a reason.
