Report a translation problem
But that is just a guess, since I have yet to come across them. The high society has some quests to not print such articles, thus my guessing. I could be wrong!
That is, if you mean those editor(s) using that "Copy Editing Desk", in which you can obtain from certain place in world map, one which have description that tells you that editor using the desk should remove sloppy writing...
You can move ads or reports (ones coming by reporters, when they are done their report investigations and bringing them to press processing) to editor's left output slot(s)...
However that must be done BEFORE reports are going to be processed in "Typesetting Desk"...
Because after that it cannot be edited in CE Desk as report have changed format and is moving to "Assembly Table"...
Hello!
Some news items have Sloppy writing.
If a news item contains this en enters the office tower it will auto go past the copy editor desk. This does not work for Sloppy writing because this happens from low concentration employees that do Typesetting and assembling and that happens after the editor.
Hope this helps a bit thanks for playing News Tower

The automatic function should work. If the editor desk is on a reachable floor and a employee is assigned.
Hope it not some obscure bug.
Just got them removed from building as didn't see them working right, or as I was thinking then...
Just in last minutes of playing the game, noticed that they don't process files coming from Typesetting desk but ones coming from reporter...
During morning routine, while getting ready to go work, was thinking if it was just that they didn't do anything as my reporters were on good mood, so sloppiness was not a thing on their side...
It seems that editors have caused confusion as they don't have any info or description which tells in what part of report/news process they're editing.
My issue with editor is that he can be inactive for weeks and all the sudden one week you might need him for 4 stories, and they all get bottle neck. I wish you could use him to improve a story, or any other bonus that you could "cook" the story a little longer to improve it's quality.
Thanks! Praise you and the search engine :))
