you can pull a conveyor belt from a module stop where you want to go down. Thenpull from the corner point up or down. That should work
restarted a new playthrough just doesn't feel naturally and got softlocked

no drag and drop option appears when I'm trying to connect the middle so the game just sits there
You need to put those page modules on conveyorbelts (Place them in between)
So your not soft locked but i see it can be unintuitive.
Noted
(From those corner points you can continue pullen though right?
You need to delete the left belt. You can only have one belt extending from a module, which is why you can't connect the input to the rest of the printer (and why drag and drop is no longer an option). Delete it and then drag from the input module to the middle module or vice versa.
Example: I just got back into the game after a few months' hiatus and started a new game. So I'm relearning the game's systems. Early on you have Small Lamps and Air Vents available, and you can put the vents behind the lamps, no problem. Then, when I got to the part where you get the second Page Module and build the third floor, I was trying to run a belt through a ceiling/floor, and it wasn't working, and there was no indication why. I was scratching my head for a long time, wondering if there is a bug. It's only after experimented that I realized I had a vent in the wall behind where I was trying to run the belt. I moved the vent, and then could build the belt--but from a UI perspective, there was no hint leading me to that.
This is NOT a criticism of forbidding things to be built "behind" the belts, I'm OK with that design choice (I can see how it avoids other problems). My comment is more about the lack of discoverability regarding what object(s) is blocking the belt being built and/or not making it clear to a learning player that it is legal to build "behind" some objects but not others.
Wow missed this. good point. Ill put it on out trello to-do board.
Thanks!

Thanks I have been trying to resolve this for couple of months.
