Thanks for playing the demo.
Thats some lovely feedback, means a lot to us.
The tutorial is always an ongoing development.
Its gotten a lot better but still needs some work indeed.
backend wise we have some restrictions but you have some valid points.
If the player closes a message it should not come up again.
- game unpauses, that was not intended sadly not fixed in the demo but fixed for the EA build.
- "Racist / sexist names for "cleaners" both Spanish names "Garcia", both women"
This is a very tricky subject. Now everything is randomised. So first and last name, skin color and sex can be anything. We already diverged from historic accuracy with having women and PoC for every job. But with the random element is hard to not get unfortunate combinations. We could maybe make a list that excludes some skin colors/first names/last-names from specific employee jobs.
But it's a sensitive matter we should be carefull with. Any ideas on this front are welcome.
- Paper supply. For the printer specifically you can see it in the left bottom corner in the printer menu or when you hover over the printer input module.
For overall paper you just see when its getting low by the red paper icon in the top ui rightside. So red doesn't mean your out yet but are low on supply.
Will look into places where we could give a full overview.
- "Printer belts don't always show up in the construction area - no idea where to get more conveyor belts" Yes sorry for that, this was a bug and is fixed for the EA build.
- Yes the best thing now is to just sell (There is full refund on conveyor belt) the conveyor belt. And just pull a new one between your printer modules.
(where looking at how to improve this, i can tell you the backend is very involved)
- Its indeed a bit like a three-way switch that felt more analog. But we can shorten the pull/drag field.
- "Available news reporters" Good point and we are debating it atm.
Maybe we could open the employee/reporter right drawer when you open the globe and show all available reporters in that drawer. With some sorting buttons at the top.
- Reporter alert when reporter is available again.
Could maybe be to disruptive since those messages would popup often specially later in the game. but your point is noted and might be the way to go.
- "Reporters only interactive" yes this is very true.
But we don't really want to change this because it is a game about making a newspaper.
So having more interactive elements on other employee took away from this core part.
At the same time did we want to have a seem skill system for all employees.
So that why it works like that. Later in EA will introduce traits this wel greatly improve the employee part of the game. but also there the reporters stay more interesting.
- yes the risks and bribes should be explained a bit better/ have more context
- Yes we already changed this for the EA version the no longer disappear after the some time. they stay until resolved/ assigned.
The NPC narrative side is still undercooked and we will expand on this front while in EA.
Hopefully we can keep your interest we have lots of cool new thing coming.
Ofc we can't make a game for everyone but will find a good middle ground mechanic/story wise.

I wouldn't touch it and leave it random. You also have an international audience. As a German player I don't even understand the reference with "Garcia".
it you play game like two point hospital there is also a random with who you will hire, but there wasn't stuff like that, i dont know how they did it, but it felt better.
