Feedback after a couple hours...
- Tutorial
- No way to go back and see a message during the intro instructions from your secretary
- No way to pause, should be manual advance
- "Taking too long fast forward" message constant harassment is annoying - if I close it I don't want to see it again, I get it, I can fast forward. It is disruptive.

- Game doesn't remember paused status after tutorial messages or rewards
- EDIT - Removed section about gender issues - they've been resolved.
- Can't see my paper supply to know I need more

- Printer belts don't always show up in the construction area - no idea where to get more conveyor belts
- Belts are a wrestling match, this is one of the most annoying construction problems - wrestling with getting them to go where I want to especially between floors
- Stumped by the Print lever - wouldn't let me start printing, had to drag too far down - no idea why it is a 3 way switch!?

- I need to see which reporters are out on a story so I can pick which news for my researchers to prioritize - I'll pick stories that I know reporters that are available can handle
- I need an alert when I have a free reporter so I can assign them to an open story
- Reporters are the only real interactive employee, the rest are just kind of there - not much to interact or do with them
- The payout things aren't explained at all - neither the bribe or the thing where the Officer shows up - no idea what I'm doing there
- News Stories that have a second step should ALWAYS show the blue icon if they're not assigned. Hard to keep track of them

Overall I'm having fun with it though most of it just becomes a clicker game - need more reason to interact with things and more screens to support them. The screen after the printing where you select Mafia or other rewards and which borough you want to expand to is awesome. But I can't see my reporters to know which stories I can do to unlock - and unlocks are essentially meaningless since there is no penalty for not finishing with a neighborhood. So it is just more random clicking. I want to really follow stories - the multi part stories are great - do more to support that! I want to feel like some of the stories are filler and some are really getting into a narrative but it is hard to tell which is which and to track the ones that matter over time. I want a screen that lets me keep a file on the cops or the mafia or something like that.

The tutorial is always an ongoing development.
Its gotten a lot better but still needs some work indeed.
backend wise we have some restrictions but you have some valid points.
If the player closes a message it should not come up again.

This is a very tricky subject. Now everything is randomised. So first and last name, skin color and sex can be anything. We already diverged from historic accuracy with having women and PoC for every job. But with the random element is hard to not get unfortunate combinations. We could maybe make a list that excludes some skin colors/first names/last-names from specific employee jobs.
But it's a sensitive matter we should be carefull with. Any ideas on this front are welcome.

- Paper supply. For the printer specifically you can see it in the left bottom corner in the printer menu or when you hover over the printer input module.
For overall paper you just see when its getting low by the red paper icon in the top ui rightside. So red doesn't mean your out yet but are low on supply.
Will look into places where we could give a full overview.

- "Printer belts don't always show up in the construction area - no idea where to get more conveyor belts" Yes sorry for that, this was a bug and is fixed for the EA build.

- Yes the best thing now is to just sell (There is full refund on conveyor belt) the conveyor belt. And just pull a new one between your printer modules.
(where looking at how to improve this, i can tell you the backend is very involved)

- Its indeed a bit like a three-way switch that felt more analog. But we can shorten the pull/drag field.

- "Available news reporters" Good point and we are debating it atm.
Maybe we could open the employee/reporter right drawer when you open the globe and show all available reporters in that drawer. With some sorting buttons at the top.

- Reporter alert when reporter is available again.
Could maybe be to disruptive since those messages would popup often specially later in the game. but your point is noted and might be the way to go.

- "Reporters only interactive" yes this is very true.
But we don't really want to change this because it is a game about making a newspaper.
So having more interactive elements on other employee took away from this core part.
At the same time did we want to have a seem skill system for all employees.
So that why it works like that. Later in EA will introduce traits this wel greatly improve the employee part of the game. but also there the reporters stay more interesting.

- yes the risks and bribes should be explained a bit better/ have more context

- Yes we already changed this for the EA version the no longer disappear after the some time. they stay until resolved/ assigned.

The NPC narrative side is still undercooked and we will expand on this front while in EA.
Hopefully we can keep your interest we have lots of cool new thing coming.

Ofc we can't make a game for everyone but will find a good middle ground mechanic/story wise.

I wouldn't touch it and leave it random. You also have an international audience. As a German player I don't even understand the reference with "Garcia".

when i played i had only one available woman and it was also a cleaner, i didnt look at names, but it was kinda upsetting itself cuz i had all men stuff except tutorial lady and that one cleaner...it doesn't felt like a good random to me...i know this is how random works and that could be happening, but before a read some post i thought you just didn't want to add women on other jobs honestly. and i just wanna enjoy game in good setting without all this depressing white men's world stuff...
it you play game like two point hospital there is also a random with who you will hire, but there wasn't stuff like that, i dont know how they did it, but it felt better.

I had the same experience as Barbija and others in the demo (which makes me wary about the full game). For a significant portion of the game, the only women available to hire were for the cleaner positions. Especially later on when you are offered 2-4 options for each job position, and it's consistently all men or all women (for non-cleaner and cleaner, respectively), it feels like that's very unusual for a random result. I had to pay to re-roll a few times until I could get a woman in one of the non-cleaner roles.

This post was written before release back in Feb, the gender situation in the game is different today - completely balanced.

I usually just look at the stats. Why would I reroll in the attempt to (maybe) hire a woman when the current list of hires have the necessary skills?

TBH I really wouldn't want any combination to be excluded. This would be just wrong. Denying that people of all genders and ethnicities work in various professions does no good to anyone. And if you put only white people (or even only white men) there then it would be racist and sexist because yes, one can be racist against white people too.
