Question about the Tower dlc?

So you can't suspend cycle in the tower at all or at certain points? i've found conflicting info about this. I played a session for almost 20-30 minutes and couldn't suspend my cycle through it and had to quit out and loose progress. i'm not new to long play sessions but I'm sometimes I play in small chunks as well and the game also crashes for me a lot so I'm not sure how to deal with this.

You cannot suspend the cycle, no.
You can pause the game for a rest though.
I recommend not starting if you dont have a bit of time.
You can also try putting your PC to sleep. without exiting the game.

So you can't suspend it all? There aren't even any save points where you can? You have to keep going until you die? Am i getting it right? What if your game crashes? And it crashed quite frequently in the base game for me because thats gonna suck.

Thats the only reason I still haven't done the tower because the game crashes a lot for me so what would be the point. Its such a shame. If they wanted to add such a mechanic, they should have made damn sure that their port ran flawlessly which sadly isn't the case.
