For the people that will experience that, it probably hasn't been fixed. But you might want to keep in mind:

It is only some people that have that problem. Going by current reviews, 80% of people enjoy this game enough to give a thumbs up. I hesitated to buy this game reading about performance issues, but ended up not experiencing memory leak myself.

If you have a mid-tier or lower desktop, anything below extreme gaming laptop, or a handheld, you will likely experience stutter ranging from annoying to unplayable. The amount will depend on what your system is. You should look up other discussions on Returnal's performance, it has already been talked about A LOT. Many people shared their experiences and system specs.

You can always try it and then get a refund if you want.

Nope. Don't support broken games.

Do you mean the game crashing telling me that my 24 GBs of VRAM ran out and is probably not enough?
I just had that today. But at least the game loaded back up to the point where it crashed.

That is what a memory leak would do, yes

Most people don’t have that problem. I personally don’t. There are some traversal stutterer when you go through gates but I don’t feel them when playing on a controller so for me personally it was a fantastic gaming experience.

The most common issue that the majority of people face is textures disappearing, but as it happens after the steam refund time period they don't care.

With your pretty rare 24gb of vram you'll probably never experience that one though.

Game is 40% off and only 100 people world wide bought the game. An unmitigated disaster.

100 people created 65,200 scores in the added content, on PC alone...

Genius.

Is that not console as well?

They mean 100 people bought the game whilst it's on sale "Genius".

Still, not high numbers at all.

I think the game looks pretty cool but no way I'm buying broken games that have been abandoned.
