Why am I so weak?

I find a dead player and want to avenge him but twice in a row i was powerless, like I couldnt do anything vs that creature. IDK the name, shoots red balls in a line that home and spawns a purple orb that shoots 2 lasers scissoring you. i do like 0 dmg to it and it like 3 shots me...

On a side note: is there any way to put the game in english?
Text and speech are english but the menu is in my own language and I dont see any way to change that?

You can try right click on the game in your library, properties,general, and change to English.

As for weakness, you should clear every level and upgrade everything you can along the way.

What upgrades do you recommend to get first?

It's random, pickup whatever you find. Open malignant chests as long as you have just 2 malfunctions total, pick up parasites with good boons and benign negatives. Pick up good items like hp and shield and ignore stuff like shocking springs or interference sphere. If you die easily keep an eye out for the astronaut figurine and save up for the Reconsturctor. Keep an eye out for weapons with good perks and level those up etc etc etc

indoors playing games no sunlight didnt walk to get blood circulation. eat vegetables and a little bit of steak sometimes rarely but as needed. no sugar.

Aside from the good advice from Samael, I would just re-emphasize that the more you play the game, explore and progress to new biomes, the stronger you will get. That's really the design of the game. You will get new weapons, unlock powerful traits for those weapons, unlock new consumables, find new artifacts (the Child's Wristwatch also gives an extra life), and unlock new equipment for your suit that will be very helpful.

Maybe at first you might want to skip the dead scouts until you feel more experienced and stronger. Eventually you will learn enemy attack patterns, which will help a lot.

I'm not convinced it can be THAT random. This isn't 2017 Prey, which also randomizes the upgrades you get for your suit (once I went for 6 hours into the game without getting a single one I wanted). But you specifically said that if you can just get past the 1st chapter and the 1st boss things get easier, so the game can't randomize it to the point where you constantly get unlucky and get the crap upgrades.

the first boss along with the first chapter are the easiest bosses of the game lol u have no ideia what waiting for you on the next chapters, especially if u have a pc that dont have the recommends spec, u will suffer with the amount of fps drop because of all the bullets lol

and the best tip i can give u is to learn how to dodge efficiently, when u get adrenaline lvl 5 u get a shield for the next hit, and for damage usually after a few deaths u unlock some good passives for the weapon, i recommend high caliber

bleh, first boss is beyond stupid. if i could refund i would just because of that lmfao.

i beat DS 2-3, elden ring, sekiro and NONE of those games where as frustratingly hard as this fking ♥♥♥♥

Also elden ring ran a LOT better and smoother, theres so much FPS drops and stutters in this game its unreal. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port
