sony don't release figures but since they keep porting their games to pc then they must be getting a good return on investment

from what i understand its one of the worst selling playstation game on PC due to the lack of reviews and playercount, but its a really good game as far as I'm concerned, people are missing out.

While the game is good the port isn't. The devs abandoned it with a bad memory leak. I suggest skipping unless you get it from humble anyway.

Buy it on PS5 if you have one, or you can suffer through the PC version which will still crash if you turn on ray tracing, broken Unreal Engine textures since this game runs on a super modified version of it, and so many odd bugs dealing with resolutions and framerates that you will become a master at fixing yourself. Such as shame the devs abandoned this game after only two months, it's quite pathetic really.

Runs great on my PC. Never had a crash. Have occasionally had a graphics glitch that turns all the surface textures flat low res until I restart the game but that is all. I run on all max settings 1440p synced at 60fps with the highest DLSS setting.
I have i7 13gen, 3080Ti RTX, and 2T SSD in M2 slot with 32GB of 5600mhz DDR5 RAM.

I dont think game sold much. I think even on PS5 didnt reach 1 million. My guess is something between 50-100k

While SONY does not release numbers Returnal has the lowest "all time player" numbers of any of their games on Steam. Also it barely scratches across the 100+
players online border most of the time. nowadays.
In comparsion, other older games like the first Horizon still reaches around 4000 daily players, thats 40 times what Returnal manages.
This game was definitely no "hit" on PC.
I doubt it lost them any money since ports are not that expensive but i also doubt they did earn very much with it.

It came out in the Insomniac leaks a while ago that Returnal sold over 800k copies up to around 2022, so I’d imagine it’s over 1 million sales by now.

I have no idea what it's sales figures look like, but I can tell you that it's a great game. It's super challenging. I,personally, enjoy it alot.

i doubt we will ever see another Returnal....
I guess the average redneck prefers playing "gangsta in da hood" within GTA whatever....

I hope so as I would love a sequel. Truly excellent game and from what I understand it underperformed also on ps5. I guess due to initial difficulty or so?

This game ruined me. I just reinstalled Elden Ring for the DLC and stuff is so slow I am not sure the run button works.

im very good at shoot em ups, and this is practically a bullet hell in 3d.
But yes Elden Ring is easier. Because open world (dont like it)
