As a joining scout it's best to already beaten the game and be comfortable with boss battles. So you can give resins/health to host if he needs it.
Integrity can also be bought easily every biome if you need it.
Unless host doesn't want to pick up malicious you can pick those up or clean it with ether.
Weapon proficiency should go to only 1 player to get the highest proficiency weapons out of it. So it's best to give it to the host and let him open up all containers.
No, I checked with a friend some time ago, and obolites are dropped and gathered independently by each player. All other drops are instead shared, so they can be grabbed by either player but not both.
You can check it out easily, go both near an obolite pod or stay near an enemy and kill it, and you'll see that both players get the same amount of obolites (except ofc if one player has adrenaline 5 and the other doesn't).
Another thing that's not shared are fabricators: every player get its own personal instance, with different random items.
Also, ether earned by avengin dead scouts or defeating bosses is awarded to both players.
Your tip about proficiency is a very important one and it's easily misunderstood the first times playing coop.
COOP needs a top down rework to be fun. I think the main player should get items and it just goes to both players, with the exception of weapons.
Yeah ok. I was more talking about the pickup laying in the areas.
Oblites and fabricators goes and can be used by both.
But if one player decide to rush solo to new area and kill enemies, the dropped oblites will dissapeare. So try go in new areas together.
That and scout levels getting more ether? Maybe...? So that way the player who joins can cleanse what he needs? Just guessing... don't find it fun enough to go more in depth with the mechanics of this mode.
