I played the game for around 1 hour (13700k 3070 1080p high 120fps dlss) and no crashes, thats a first for me!

Anyone else have luck?

Crashed after around 3 hours, then restarted and crashed after 5 minutes.

The weird part is i have never seen a fatal error message. The game must have crashed 20 times already in the 18 hours playtime i already did, but the game just stutters very briefly with audio cut out, and then freeze followed by crash to desktop, no error message, nothing. I give up. I will revisit the game in about a year or so.

UPDATE:
Unistalling then re-installing the game fixed my issues. (good luck with the download time)

Just throwing it out there, I had success doing something different than a full re-install.
Right click Returnal in my Steam Library, click Properties.
Then in Local Files I clicked "Verify integrity of game files..."
It scanned for 3 minutes, said 2 files were missing and that they would be re-acquired.
I started the game a few minutes later and it booted up.

I used to have crashes also in the tower before the last patch. Played the tower for several hours since the patch, no more crashes so far. NVIDIA driver is 531.18.

It still surprises me how many games have missing or corrupted files and how often verifying files fixes games. So odd that steam does it.
