We have a new update today that aims to reduce stuttering and fix a number of crashes, alongside some other general fixes.

PATCH NOTES:
Multiple optimisation improvements to reduce stuttering on CPUs with fewer than 8 cores.
Updated PSO system to reduce stuttering when Ray Tracing is enabled.
Fixed crash that can occur when finding or using translocators.
Fixed crash that can occur during various combat or high particle effect situations.
Enabled Intel's XeSS screen scaling technology on non-Intel hardware.
Fixed blocker that can occur when killing the Typhonops and using a Reconstructor.
Fixed 3840x1600 resolutions not displaying correctly.
Fixed Steam overlay run time being out of sync with in-game cycle time.
Optimised installation process to reduce file size.


We're continuing to read through your feedback and are working on further performance improvements for a future patch, along with a fix for Translocators sometimes not registering and a number of fixes to the Co-Op experience.

I can confirm I played the game for around 1 hour (13700k 3070 1080p high 120fps dlss) and no crashes, thats a first for me!

Game was also super smooth and stable 120fps.

In multiplayer crash after crash, red sphere, impossible to connect and of course black load screen when my teammate say "I see you in my game".

I'm still getting some stuttering with raytracing on.

EDIT: With DLSS Quality on, the stutters are much less frequent. But still there.

Yeah, black load screen after joining some random people still happens. But I was able to run a full coop run of the first act with all graphics set to max without a crash just now. I will see, if it stays that way, but I am confident, that at least the coop fatal errors are gone.

With RT it still stutters and it's not smooth even with 70+ fps. Turns that crap back off.

It still stutters at times for me but I definitely see a big improvement in how often.

RT still stutters, game in general still stutters more than it should considering how simple everything looks, Horizon Zero Dawn has no "doors to mask loading" I mean it has no loading whatsoever while you're traversing its huge map from one corner to the opposite one, not a simple stutter, not a single frame drop along the way, and it looks way more complex than this game.

Also, where's the Nvidia Frame Generator they promised to Digital Foundry? Guess it will be a nice bonus for those that buy the game on Steam sale. On the other hand, those of use who bought the game day 1 / full price to support the devs are playing the waiting game. Nice.
