Does this install Epic Game store

i am aware it installs epic games services what can be disabled what is annoying
If this installs the Epic Game Store it is a deal breaker for me.
i like their engine but that it.

pretty much. i dont like their launcher but this overlay and "service" isnt terrible like the launcher. dont even notice its there and i was monitoring the data that may or may not be transfered while playing its bare minimum, literally 1mb over the course of 12 hrs which its from downloading the friends list lol. overall its much better than what EA and Ubisoft shove in your games on steam.

not me i take a good amount of time removing all of the blot apps in windows. everything from weather to Xbox App any thing that i don't need to run windows. Sophia Script helps with that. i like games on GOG no launcher needed no GOG or steam running in the background.

then block eos from installing then, if you block all the epic servers then it wont even install, you wont be playing co op tho, but imo co op isnt even needed and takes away from the challenge. the game doesnt NEED eos, its just the online portion that requires it.

but seems like you are hellbent on canceling the game before you have a chance to play it. not sure why you are blocking epic specifically, their launcher sucks but thats about it. if its for the telementry, well i got news for you, ALL of sony's games do that, even without EOS

i cant speak for others but the launcher itself is a bogged piece of junk that takes too much resources (bandwidth and computing power) compared to literally any other launcher, steam being the best and takes the least resources. there are probably other reasons but thats why i refuse to use it if i dont have to. however the EOS service and launcher arent even like that and is pretty lightweight.

i dont really get the hate for the EOS, maybe people think the actual launcher is being run like origin and uplay? maybe its because they dont want to share info with epic? but they are fine with sharing info with valve and sony? i dont get it lol. also chances are they are using windows which shares info with microsoft even if you do block all the telemetry. also their android phone which shares info with google, or their facebook app lol

anyways to prevent the eos installer from popping up do the following

Go to steamlibrary\steamapps\common\returnal\returnal\binaries\win64\

Edit launcher.ini, set NoOperation to 1. Save.

Or.... Just go to add/remove programs, and uninstall it. It won't try to install again once the game has already been installed.

First of all, this game doesn't installs epic launcher.
Secondly, it doesn't use epic server unless you link your account to epic.
Just play the game bro

Do you play gta, rdr2? They use rockstar launcher
You play assassin creed? Ubisoft launcher
You play fifa? Ea launcher

I can go on and on about whats worse then epic server used for coop crossplay.

Again, used for coop crossplay for people on epic store.
Does not install launchers.
Does not run unless you link your account to epic.

Now cancel your refund and play.

yeah but look at op's comments, he blocked all of Epics servers so it would never get passed the install stage, resulting in it trying to install everytime. so this method stops it before it ever is installed.
