E.g. I’m not picking up any shotgun as it really doesn’t fit my playstyle. I also won’t pick up a higher lvl version of the weapon I’m holding if I feel the current one is still adequate and the new one has a trait I don’t like.
Counterattacking enemies are why I like the rotglobber for this reason: fire a couple of times then hide while the poison does the job for you :D
Hollowseeker is quite good with certain traits like: Serrated, New Target, Portal Turret and Portal Beam for example. Beat the game with those. But it's lackluster in the first half of the game, that's for sure.
Also don't forget that sometimes it is important to use a gun you don't really like in order to unlock a new trait for that weapon. Very often new traits can totally alter the way guns work, the slug shot for example turns a shotgun into a long range weapon!
