Bypassing Epic Games

When the game is starting up you can click on cancel(and be fast with that...) and the Epic stuff won't be installed - game will still run fine.

WHY is this bundled with the game? WHY am i forced to install it?
Make it optional for people who want to play coop if one of the 2 people happen to play it on Epic and if you actually want to play in coop....

i canceled mine but apparently i already had it installed from another game and the online still works. hate to say it but its probably going to be standard for unreal engine games...

what is the reason to this thing installs?
this is needed to run game? or this is only to pick player data (which is bad and not needed)

According to the other 100000 threads, that discuss this, the Epic stuff is needed to be able to cross-play with Epic players.

Then it could be optional. I have no friends over on epic so....i don't need it.
I also refund games that force uPlay and EA Launcher on top of steam...so...

It already affected my gaming experience. So much, that i refunded the game.
I hate Epic...not only because of Tencent, or that the killed Unreal, or rip money of off children in Fortnite - no it's that im forced to install this. I was not asked, it was not optional.

Returnal is a great game, but i won't play it with this crap.

That's not an excuse. Let me not crossplay with Epic players. There are only 5 or 6 of them anyway. Who the hell buy games on EGS?

You're waayy to sensitive. I would kind of agreed if the EGS app would open upon booting the game but not in this case. Even then I would just say "♥♥♥♥ steam" and buy it on Epic lol

I was about to buy it before I caught that it required EGS, but didn't disclose that in the ad.

It's not installing the EPIC Games Store. It installs the framework for cross-play.

its not like you have to use their stupid launcher, all they add is an overlay and instead of using steam servers for the multiplayer its epics, the game was run on epic's game engine anyways (unreal 5 or 4). its not like the case with origin and uplay where you have a totally different launcher involved. everyone chill, the game is good.
