AMD GPU Users, how's your GPU temps ?
I use a 5700XT, with 22.11.2, and I've noticed that in some very specific conditions, my Junction temps goes to 110C.

More precisely, the temps goes to 110C instantly when I have a certain object displayed on the screen, and goes back down to 80-85 as soon as the object is not displayed anymore.
The strangiest part is no mater if my fans are at 20% or 100, the junction temp still stay at 110C when tthant object is on screen (reporting error maybe?)

I had already deep-cleaned my GPU 3 months ago, but I still repasted it yesteday, to be sure : no changes, wich is understandable because the paste was still very good when I dissasembled my card.

Do some of you have similar issues ?

Well, if you wanna play that way....

Next time, you should try not to vomiting back AMD marketing BS.
Unless of course, you work for AMD : In that case, good job.

Me: 7900 XTX core GPU temps staying below 80C max GPU Mem Junction Temps 100C max and lower.

ok, good luck doing all kinds of work to get those temperatures down that will never happen without water cooling it. :steamfacepalm:

So, you say that having 105 fekking GPU without watercooling a GPU, with acompanying 2.5k RMP screeching fans is "within spec"

I'm pretty sure you do not even realize how ridiculous this is.

Not to mention that you probably did not even read my OP : you just saw "105C" and auto-responded "this is normal, nothing to see here".

How does it feel, as a human being, to have as much initiative that a lvl 1 support bot ? You should have asked me to reboot my computer, or to uninstall and rdownload the game, eh

More like I read that you stated that you went through the work of deep cleaning and repasting your GPU, and you are still getting the same temps. Which tells me you getting 110 is normal for the model of graphics card you got, and because that is normal for that graphics card model, and it is with in spec for the RX 5700 XT, this means there is nothing to worry about.

So how about you try to remember what you actually said in your own post instead?

More like " I get 110C in this game, meaning ONLY IN THIS FEKKIN ASS GAME, and ONLY WHEN A SPECIFIC OBJECT IS ON THE SCREEN" or "the temp stay the same EVEN WHEN MY FANS ARE FORCED AT 20% or 100%

But yeah, this is completely expected behaviour and absolutely fine.
Does THE BIGGEr LETTERS helps you to understand what was IMPORTANT in my ORIGINAL POST ?

If not, get a firmware update, bot.

I have a 5700XT and my temps haven't jumped above 80 degrees.
Are you playing with ultra settings or something?

No, I've first kept everything "stock". Game recommended "high" settings everywhere, at 1440p.

I've try to drop everything at medium afterward yesterday, just to see, dropped GPU usage to 70%, but still, the JTemp is still around 105-107C, especially when I stand in front of the "white obelisk" just around the first door.

I've also runned FurMark with as much AA as possible at 1440p, and JTemp would not go above 90C 100C, at a 1500RMP fanspeed... So as IceBot seemed to not understand, no, 110C in that game, even at 100% fanspeed, is not normal, especially for a sapphire pulse model

EDIT 2 : Oh, and I forgot to mentioned that Junction Temp go a 110C in this game...while my GPU is undervolted to 1050mV, from 1200. So, dear IceBot, your "expected behaviour" would probably have sent my GPU to 120C, and forced my computer to shutdown. So, is it still "normal" to you ?

EDIT : Mistake in the JTemp in FurMark

My 2070 runs around 50-70F
which is pretty normal I believe.

Yours running basically what I think is 200F uh, is definitely not good.

Out of curiosity though, what is the object you're referring to?
cause I wonder if that's what randomly dips my frames down to a powerpoint presentation

70 Fahrenheit is equals to 21C, so 50 would be probably below your room temperature. So the fact that your GPU run that cold is kind of unlikely, unless you have put it under dual-phase cooling.

The object I was refering to is the "white obelisk" that you find near the first door on the crash site, I dont remeber how it's named.

Regarding your stuttering, does it happend when you open a door a change zone ?

well the 50 means idling, it usually stays at 70+ while playing but never spikes as high as yours.

The lag happens randomly it's like in a certain part of the map if my camera aims at a wall or something it lags way out

Maybe it have to do with asset loading. What's your game installed on ?

6700XT. Only played a couple hours so far. 64c max on GPU, 61c on 5600x. I don't monitor hotspot so I never know. My case is set up for temps being highest priority though. I have 3 intake fans blowing directly into my GPU fans from 4 inches away and have zero RPM turned off. My room is also quite cold this time of year, about 55F.

Undervolting ?

Yes, as stated in an edit somewhere, I've put down my GPU to 1050mV, from the stock 1200. Wich have bring both "average" temp and hotspot down 10C in every other game I play, but not this one. Even at 1050, my sapphire pulse hits 110C hotspot no matter the fanspeed. But yeah, IceMoFo thinks god's knows why it is "expected behaviour"

I have a 6800xt and don’t see temps above 70 so far. Maybe a long shot but are you capping the fps?
