My Corsair Virtuoso XT headset is working fine without cut-offs or stuttering in the audio.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/accessories/headsets/xbox-wireless-headset
But the cut-outs have nothing to do with enabling Dolby Atmos, neither in-game, nor in Windows.
Audio is fine with my stereo speakers but as soon as I switch to the headset the audio is broken in Returnal. And only in Returnal. When playing back music with Spotify while the game is running the music is unaffected, so it's clearly a problem with the game's audio acting strange when using this headset. I'm using it with the official wireless receiver from Microsoft.
There may be a setting enabled that is not working with that specific headset.
Could be some other issue with how sound is configured.
Just for clarity I am using a PS5 Dualsense controller also plugged in via USB
