Gsync/Freesync/Adaptive Sync not working?

Is it just me or is none of these working? I have the LG OLED monitor and the game is still tearing. Adaptive sync is on and I have tried with Gsync on and off and it still tears. Anyone else noticed the tearing or it not working?

GSYNC and VSYNC are meant to work together. So just enable VSYNC and let GSYNC for fullscreen only (NVIDIA control panel) = no tearing, no input lag, working GSYNC

I have mine set to fixed refresh in Nvidia control panel. MAX background and Max FPS set to 59. I have a 1080p machine more than that I get stutter. I am on a GTX 1660 SUPER.

For me Gysnc was causing microstutters. I capped the FPS to match my montiors refresh rate and used Vsync. This fixed this issue completely.

Doesn't work. I've tried both being turned on as how GSYNC works. Doesn't work. Adaptive Sync doesn't even work.

for gsync to work properly you need to turn on gsync and vsync in nvidia control panel then in game you need to make sure vsync is disabled so that the driver can take over.

I know that, but it doesn't work. And Adaptive Sync by itself doesn't work. I have an Adaptive Sync monitor. I'd rather use Adaptive Sync than Gsync.

i havent had freesync not work ever, but i use amd paired with enhanced sync which is an alternate version of vsync that reduces frame lag.

There isn't an adaptive sync monitor, adaptive sync just allows tearing when your framerate falls below your refresh rate and vsyncs when fps = refresh rate.

If you mean that you have a freesync monitor, then you still enable gsync in the control panel to utilize it. Do not pair adaptive sync with any variable refresh rate technology (gsync, freesync, hdmi 2.1 vrr). You always want to use vsync with it.

Also, not all freesync monitors are created equally. Especially if it isn't GSync certified, you may find that your monitor has a very tight range of Hz values it'll work within before introducing tearing (these values are often resolution dependent too).

Like others said dont turn on adaptive sync (that's not freesync/display adaptive sync/vrr). It just tells the driver to drop vsync when the frame rate drops below the refresh rate. It was good back before gsync/freesync/vrr but is superseded now if you have those tech in your display.

Enable gsync in the Nvidia control panel inside the gsync section. Then set max frame rate at or slightly under refresh and it should work. May also work with vsync enabled in game.

I have an LG C2 and gsync works for me without tearing in returnal.
In nvidia control panel I have gsync turned on for Windowed and Fullscreen mode, and have Vsync turned on (global settings).
In Returnal Graphics menu I have Vsync turned off and Max frames per second set to Infinite(far right slider). Gsych kicks in automatically and caps the game at 119fps (with 4090).

There was a period of about 2 months where gsync wasnt working properly (was showing as adaptive sync in TV bar/game optimiser menu instead of nvidia gsync), this was because the Nvidia driver at the time messed it up. It was fixed with driver version 526.98, if the above settings don't get it working for you would recommend uninstalling your current nvidia driver and installing the above one (clean install).

Also in case its of use - I have Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling turned on and Variable refresh rate turned off in the Windows Display>Graphic Settings menu.

g-sync compatible - this is essentially the same freesync )) true g-sync this is g-sync ultimate (built-in module) I have v-sync disabled, only enabled g-sync and no tearing (pg27uq)
