Anyone play remnant from the ash and can compare the two if it is similar in difficulty?

I've played Remnant from the Ashes but only watched videos of Returnal. The 2 games are nothing alike, it would be hard to compare them at all. While Remnant was souls-like shooter, Returnal looks like a rougue-like shooter/ platformer to me.

Remnant from the Ashes is harder at the highest difficulties, but I also wouldn't really compare the two games because the gameplay and mechanics are different. Returnal is a much faster paced game and the difficulty is heavily affected by how lucky or unlucky you get with enemy spawns, the weapons you drop and the perks / negative effects you grab along the way.

2 different types of games with different movement physics. Returnal is a fast paced 3rd person shooter, Remnant is a deliberately paced melee / shooter hybrid, so they will feel completely different

Yeah, but Returnal is like always playing on harder difficulties right from the start.
