Knight Crawlers
Dear dev came here to avoid a bad review,
i do love this genre, this is the only reason i even make the effort of a post.
Your game could be a banger but it has one and only this one dealbreaking issue for me personally.
Your game doesnt transport the feeling of the incoming pain you will receive.
In the second room i was already down 33% life because i spammed that "b" button. You might say "gitgud" but you won`t be able to gitgud.
It`s impossible to predict incoming hits. That spider sense which kicks in when you`re about to take that pain which makes you dodge, it`s not tingeling.
Thats about it.
It`s honestly not fun for me and it makes me sad, because indie devs became very important over the last years.
So please add some kind of meaningful OOOOOMPH, wouldn`t be fair to have an opinion about dealing the damage, because i hit alt f4 after like 10 mins.
Considering i got Hades for similar price tag i even refunded.
If you know what i mean feel free to let me know, i will buy your game again or ignore me what do i know about having fun in rogue likes, right ? :p

ty and best of luck

I agree with the feeling. The enemies need some sort of warning or a windup.
Although it would still be useless if you spam the summon button. The game quickly turns into Touhou, then.

Hey mate, thank you so much for the honest feedback, I really do appreciate it. I agree with you that right now it is impossible to tell when enemies are about to attack as there is no wind up to their attacks.

As I am working on this alone I am strung in so many directions that it is difficult to get things done right, especially with this being my first game. Having said that, I will be working on quality of life improvements and bug fixes in future patches so I will 100% be adding in some way to telegraph enemy attacks before they happen.

Thanks again, I really do appreciate your time and the honest feedback.

After playing a bit of the demo yesterday I could see two things about it: 1) It's wearing its Gauntlet influence on its sleeve. That isn't a bad thing. (2) The game has a lot of potential to be a good or even great game. The Dev's reply has made it clear this game is a one person project. Knowing that, it is very understandable it'll take time to fix any bugs and make improvements.
