two point hospital or two point campus?
Hi

Need you !

I'm hesitating between it and two point hospital but it's twice as expensive.
Is it worth it? What are the advantages of campus over hospital?

Thanks & happy New year

Two Point Hospital is my most favourite game and I'm almost 400 hours in it. The base game is currently 80% off until Thursday and only costs 5,99 instead of 29,99 € , so it would be the perfect time for you to give it a try. And if you don't like it after all, you can always refund it within 2 weeks after purchase and if you have played less than 2 hours. You try to cure patients with tons of visual and non-visual illnesses and get money for it. Also, you must try to fulfill the tasks to receive a star for your hospital which also gives you money, some Kudosh (fantasy currency which you need to buy certain objects) and sometimes also a new object or machine as a reward. When you receive stars, the next hospital get unlocked. When you have enough money, you can (and must) buy new plots to expand your hospital which increases reputation and of course gives you more space for rooms. Here is the very cheap price for the next 2 days:

If you want to, you can go to my profile and have a look at my screenshots to give you an idea what it is like (easiest is to go there via the showcases). Also, I wrote a guide with all hospitals in the order from easy to difficult, starting with the 15 hospitals from the base game and then all DLCs with 3 hospitals each also in the correct order. I also wrote two other guides about reducing long waiting times and deaths and one about Robo janitors (which come with the Close Encounters DLC). Needless to say that I have all DLCs because I just love the game, even if it's sometimes frustrating when it's hard to get a star. Oh, and of course, there are also lots of YouTube videos about the gameplay which would no doubt also help you to decide if this could be something for you.

As for Campus, I also own it but have only 10 hours in it. I like it but still have always been preferring TP Hospital. You must try to lead your students through their lives that they get good results and every campus has other type of students, depending on the DLCs. But since I haven't played much yet, I can't tell you more details.
Campus is also on sale right now which is also a good offer with 66% off:

Hope this helps you for your decision. :-)

Thank you for this detailed review
I will wait until Thursday before buying.
Don't be too late because these offers will last only until the Winter Sale ends. Glad I could help. :-)

By the way, the Wiki Fandom is also a great help to understand the games better. Here are the links:

I prefer Two Point Campus. It's the more "complex" of the games, imo.

Hospital has more waiting around, goals are things like curing a certain number of patients and once the rooms are set up and profitable there's nothing to do but wait several minutes (even at max speed) for the number to tick up. With Campus it seems like there's always something to do, with much less downtime than Hospital. Hospital has more nostalgia appeal (since I played Theme Hospital as a kid), but Campus is the better game imo.
TPH lets you add your own tracks, so if you easily get sick of the same few songs and still want to listed to the funny announcements, then TPC could be a dealbreaker.

Hospital has mods, add your own music, and design your own painting/posters. Campus does not. Its the lack of mods that makes me choose Hospital over Campus, and it also seemed to have more personality even though they tried so hard to make Campus over quirky.
They are both very similar games. Currently Hospital tends to be cheaper in the sales. Hospital is the more formulaic - every patient you have to diagnose the illness and cure it whilst keeping your patients fed, hydrated, and giving them access to toilet facilities. Hospital ran, I think, perfectly on my system whilst I have had occasional freezing and one outright, but not game breaking, bug with Campus.

Overall probably Campus is marginally the better game but if cost is in any way an issue I'd get Hospital now and hope Campus comes down in price later.

S.x.

Hospital easily and without question - Doesn't have Denuvo baked in. Though I'd recommend being very selective with the hospital DLC - some are good and some shouldn't exist. Either way, a great time if you enjoyed the old theme hospital.

I like the core gameplay of TPC more than TPH because its not as simple as diagnose then treat patients and just building more buildings for new diseases. There's many different factors that influence students and staff, and there's also the ability to schedule a variety of events.

However, TPC is more buggy for me because item placement seems to be more quirky, even when re-using existing templates. Also, system performance is less stable, though to be fair I haven't been able to add the game to MS Defender's antivirus exclusion list yet, which might be contributing to that. I'm also disappointed that when there's 75-100 students the framerate on my 5600X with RTX 3080 @ 1440p High settings with low world detail hovers around 30 FPS - Might be yet another Unity game with a performance bottleneck.
