How to hire janitor with mechanics when it never appears as choice?

I can hire ones with ghost, maintenance and fire skills but it never gives me a chance to hire a janitor with mechanics skill. I have verified my files and I am on Lake Tumble playing the new DLC content. Any suggestions?

Use the skip button on any you don't want so that more of them become available sooner.

But it's purely random if one shows up available to hire for any of the skills. You can simply train any skills you want to give them so it doesn't really matter.

I know about the training, but it seems my training currently does not have that option to use for training. So odd. Thanks for replying though.

Are you sure any of your janitors has an active extra skill shot that isn't used? I didn't notice anything weird when playing that level.

I am very sure none of them have it because non of them are allowed to do upgrades. Which is extremely frustrating.

The existing skill setup of your janitors isn't important. Do any of your existing janitors have an open slot that is active and can receive training? What happens if you hire a new completely unskilled janitor? Is it the same thing? And did you check in a research room if you have to research upgrades for the treatment machines?
