Sorry you've got some stuck students! Would you mind sending us your Two Point Campus folder to campus-support@twopointstudios.com so that we can take a look at whats happened and fix it?
If you are using windows, you can find it here; C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Two Point Studios\ (type %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Two Point Studios\ in to file explorer)
If you can zip it up and attach to the email we should have everything that we need.
After that - you could try saving and loading, or expelling them (although that doesn't seem very fair on the students...)
Thanks,
Jo
Thanks for your quick reply, I've just sent that zip folder along to you guys and the save and reload worked, thank you!
This worked, thanks!
Sadly this did not currently work for me on Mitton University.
Second time was what seemed to be a pathing issue where a teacher was 'stuck' in what looked like nothing in the teachers lounge. I replaced the door to the room which made him 'wake up' and continue with his day.
I have yet to have someone stuck outside or in the hallways. Both places would not be possible to solve using same technique.
I really hope these issues gets solved since they make a big effect on your game.
Sorry to hear you are experiencing this bug with students getting stuck. I completely understand the frustration.
We're doing everything we can to fix this issue, but the difficulty is that differing factors can cause the NPCs to get stuck.
At this time the only sure fire way to remove a stuck student is to restart the level from the beginning.
Some players have found that selecting the student and forcing them to do something else (such as go to private tuition) can help, but this is not 100% effective.
Another potential workaround is to place a room over a student as this makes them jump back to a hall way, potentially helping them find their path again.
In any of the instances listed, is there a common factor? Are all students stuck because of the same thing?
We will continue to work on this issue, so if you have any additional information that might help, please let me know.
Thanks for your patience,
Chizel
Private Tuition is also causing problems. Some students will queue for the room, but never enter it. Another went to Private Tuition, had her lesson (I think, the icon over her head wasn't there when I found her, though her overview said she was in the private lesson) but she was stuck walking back and forth between two room/lesson items instead of leaving like she should. I "freed" her by picking up the Private Tuition room and waiting for her and the teacher to walk away. By then both her food and drink bars were empty.
Seems they get stuck in a loop where their previous action completes (eating, private lesson) but that action doesn't properly clear out from their action list, so they keep trying to do what is already done/fulfilled. Which they can't do because there's no need there to fill anymore.
I can't see this micromanaging being fun where there are more students, right now both maps have around 100 students iirc plus the appropriate amount of staff.
There are other odd things, like a character with empty food and nearly, but not completely empty thirst bars, walking past several food and drink items to go to the bathroom... with their bathroom bar still more than half full... then turning around to go to drink something, passing by food first... then finally eating. None of the need items were full/queued at the time.
TPH had it's issues but this is much messier.
