For me it is good they more or less retained the formula from the previous one.
I don't know about 10/10 but I will say the graphic aesthetic and the world presented is top notch.
I kinda wish they made the game more like Fallout 1 and 2. With more choices on how you approach the quests not only go and kill.
Maybe next game will be like that who knows.
Also if you want to take more from the game, use Mod Engine. Decimate your enemies with ease or whatever.
bruh
I'd like to see games going back to the 100% hit ratio, with the damage being reduced by armour and some random rng element, I don't like this idea of missing because someone is in partial cover.. it isn't like you're aiming at their feet.. someone in full cover should be fully protected.. forcing you to flank them or wait for them to stick their head out in overwatch.
Then you could add buffs, debuffs, poisons, disease effects, traps(grenades are essentially thrown traps or debuffs) etc to reduce aim capability or increase/decrease damage.. like a more traditional rpg game. Making a game your own with you own unique flavour of combat only really works on paper, ingame it tends to have flaws.
The medipod idea is kinda cool.. and the lure mechanic is nice, wish there were more bottles to utilise it more. The bottles in the shop are insanely overpriced. And it's really in the balancing of the game, in the hps, armour levels and the cover system, that I feel MC fails. But otherwise I think it's an excellent game, it took me about 30 hours to complete, I restarted at the airport, to try the more difficult cover mode and it's definitely easier using the harder mode, the light mode is very difficult, esp in early game.
Going mainstream forced devs to dumb down games to appeal to more people.
And we all know how dumb and lazy humanity on average is.
Sure we have better graphics, sounds and all that is tech related.
But writing and in game systems went to ♥♥♥♥ in many cases.
Not saying it's Miasma related cos it is mostly sequel system wise.
I remember Pirates of the Burning Seas, avg'd about 35k players online, an mmo pirate game, initially building ships required about 134 parts all individually made, they decided to dumb down the game and player base dropped to about 3k players online. Then they had to make the game free just to attract players. Dumb games might initially attract more players, but they don't stay long imo. Most free to play games just turn into botting games. Full of cheaters and hackers etc, aimbots..
I liked the puzzle system.. although I found I had to google many of the codes, even knowing how they were worked out doesn't make sense to me, not as bad as the mathematical puzzles used in No Mans Sky tho.. those are insane.
I haven't played the previous game. D4 is due out in next 24 hours or so.. I'll be playing that for the foreseeable future, but will check in on any dlc or expansions and patches the devs throw in.
