yeah exactly, and you cant buy more stuff/better stuff cause all you do is buy healing items
That's the real issue. Constantly buying medpacks. Leveling up appears to heal you to full, but that's it.
But there's many battles where you get ambushed and can't stealth...
Bottles can easily be found in the world for free.
I've tested a lot of the earlier maps and there's ALWAYS a way around it seems.
Additionally, if you choose narrative difficulty, then you auto-heal outside of combat
- snipe 70hp enemies with Jade, even 110 hp enemies can be sniped with save scumming (trying to get the 35% crit 110 dmg)
- lure enemies away with interactable objects / bottles
If you did all that there should be only 3? guys remaining. Start the fight and kill of the little one and dot / stun the big guys and in general keep your distance. The AI seems to try to flank you most times instead of shooting which means if you're far away enough they just run into you.
On top of that there's the "usual" xcom strategy to falling back behind new cover forcing the enemies to follow you -> overwatch or at least get the enemies out of cover in the open for flanking (sprint+stun+sprint range) with Diggs early on).
