Also regarding ng+, I'd like to get access to the Iron Man difficulty without the savegame thing. There's like a ton of clunk that makes it more about fighting the game instead of the enemy (even worse than XCOM which had its own similar issues) and the "save after every action" really doesn't work for that.
And since someone is going to ask what clunk, here's a short list of just the things I remember off the top of my head:
- It's not obvious which character is active, unless you look at the top left part of your screen. So I often think I'm playing Jade when really I have for example Elvis, move, and realize I just moved the wrong character.
- Want to change your active character by clicking on them on the screen? Your current character moves there instead, and you just wasted a turn and probably killed that character.
- Weapon and ability ranges aren't obvious, and sometimes just plain wrong. How many times have you moved to just the right spot for a shotgun range to see it's not actually in range, or if it is then for some magical reason I can't damage the enemy from there. What about miasma monsters who always have 3 acid range, usually 4 directly to the sides. But sometimes, they have 4 range off the side too. And if you target them to see the range, the game will jump between target and your character so violently it's hard to tell which square is safe and which is not.
Etc.But anyway, ng+ please!
- Normal
- Recover 50% hp after fights. Regular enemy strength and hp.
- Hard
- Recover 25% hp after fights. Increased enemy strength and hp.
- Iron Man
- Recover no hp after fights. Much more increased enemy strength and hp.
Every other game I've seen, the hardest difficulty has every aspect of Iron Man except for the save thing. It's the save thing that makes it Iron Man after all. But in this game, you can't even play with 0 hp recovery and maxed out enemy difficulty without also selecting Iron Man.I just want to play that same difficulty but without having to fight against the clunk of the game with Iron Man making sure every time I made a mistake because of clunkiness and not because of a tactical error, I would lose. :>
I think the real problem are those bugs here and there that can make you lose the game or block the progress of main quests.
