Key mapping/binding

Hi,
I just bought this game, but i am having trouble mapping forward to right mouse button.
Am i doing something wrong? (in Mutant i had no trouble doing this)

"having trouble mapping forward to right mouse" ; it keeps reverting back to "W". ( since Doom/Wolfenstein in walk with the right mouse button in e v e r y pc game, so i would like to do that as well with this pc game.

Also ... it seems i cannot bind Sprint to the "1" key ... I have an MMO mouse, and i like to bind sprint to the "1" button on my mouse ....
Strange; most other keys seem to bind when i change them.

I suggest you to use a controller with your PC, it is 100% better than M+K. I'm using a PS4 wireless controller (with its charging cable always connected), so any controller may help you with your issues.

This really isn't a solution. This type of game plays better with kb+mouse. We shouldn't have to settle for a worse experience just because the devs have been unable to including proper re-binding, a feature that has been standard on PC for 30 years. Prime example of consolitis unfortunately.

I hope they will be able to fix the issues with this game as I would love to be able to play it.

You basically can't remap keys to mouse.
If your mouse came with software just create a profile with W mapped to one of the other buttons.
Good to find another player who uses right mouse button as a forward key :)

@ the devs, how about letting us PC players choose our own key setups please?

Thanks for the suggestion, but i only play 3rd person view games with a controller ... on my consoles.
But when i play (FPS and RTS) games on my PC i want to use my mouse and keyboard (or maybe a wheel (race games) or a Joystick (flight sims)), and expect that i can map all keys and mouse buttons to my hearts desire...
Mapping keys is in my mind kinda sorta part of the definition of PC gaming.

Mutant is one of my favorite games; i would love to play this one as well; so i would really like the Devs to take notice.
Very odd that Crouch and Hide are hardcoded to mouse left and right on a PC game.

@Franc Kaos : Cheers (not many right mouse button walkers out there :) : i do almost everything with my mouse (forward, sprint, shoot, reload, granates, zoom, select 3 fav weapons, special move etc.... in my other hand there is space for a beer ;-) )

So i mapped mouse side button 1 to forward.
That kinda works for me.
Then i mapped backward to mouse button 4.
But when i click on it (or when i click the keyboard 4 button) ; i get the Map Screen ... ugghhh
I mapped "M" to Map Screen, in the Controls Menu, no other key is mapped with 4 , but still when i click 4 i get the map.
So , it seems the game wont let me play my way again :-\

It seems that when i rebind Backward with any key, it works...but when i remap it with 4 it reverts to S again.

When i`m in the Map Screen i can click on Next or Previous once ... so i can only go to Codex or only go to Backpack.
Once i`m in one of the two, Next and Previous buttons don`t not work any more. (cursor works, but keyboard buttons do not)
Also; when you are in Map Screen , you can not click on Map Screen button again to exit.
You must click Escape (twice ; first for zoom out, then a second time) to exit.
Also when you are in one of the menu screens you can not click on one of the other menu screen buttons (Quest, Backpack etc.) to go to one of those screens. (you can click on it with the cursor, but not with keyboard button).
You must exit first, and then you can click on one of the other menu buttons again.
Would be nice if that could be fixed as well.

When i remap a key, the original mapping is still shown in the tutorial (and skill point) prompts.
Very confusing; would be nice if that could be fixed as well.
