Persone 5 or Neo : TWEWY

I never played a Persona game, and i played the first game of The World Ends With You on DS a long time ago, dont remember much, except for the OST.

If i had to chose between those 2 games, which one would you guys recommend ?

Persona 5 is a turn based RPG with high school life simulation gameplay. Neo TWEWY is a sequel with Action RPG gameplay.

Cant go wrong with either or. Neo TWEWY has bigger impact if you remember the previous characters/story. My favorite game from 2021. Persona 5 has more content. If you dont mind replaying the game.

But Neo looks good as well, if it didn't release in such a busy month I would have bought it right away.

i played both, mind i played the normal p5 version only, and its really good but twewy is just awesome, it has a special place in my hearth, so i say if you can only pick one, play neo, but you cant go wrong with p5 either.

TL:DR - The poster above is the best short answer we can give.

I played both to completion on PS4, and I personally liked Neo Twewy a lot more.

Persona 5 is an amazing game, but it is a commitment, taking up to 100 hours to beat, and there is a lot of reading without gameplay. Neo Twewy, on the other hand is much more simple to pick up and play with much less reading at the expense of the characters being not quite as engaging as P5's cast.

What soundtrack is better, is a hot debate and it all comes down to personal preference. But both have incredible music.

P5 is always going to win in the popularity contest between the 2 games, but you may find a gem here with Neo Twewy.

look around and you can find this for ~$35-40 right now, use the $20 you save to buy Persona 4 Golden and beat that, by the time you finish both you'll probably be able to find Persona 5 for like 30-50% off

I mean, this is the NEO board, you're going to get responses slanted towards NEO.

If you want to know what you'd like better, pick between a very long turn based game with a lot of content but middling writing, or a much shorter action game that's a bit bare bones but has great writing.

Alright, speaking from DS player to another,

I personally just think you should at least watch the "A New Day" scenario from the TWEWY Final Remix switch port on youtube since that's completely new content from the original DS version that leads into Neo TWEWY.

If you're on board with how the writing goes from there, then feel free to give NTWEWY a try.

I personally enjoyed Persona 5 Royal despite the flaws so you won't see me discouraging anyone from getting it, but it's definitely a different genre in comparison.
